Just woke up saw that my mom's nice dishes are already kept. There were no fireworks last night but still we celebrated new year in a nice simple way.
After how many cloudy days the sun finally shone and hopefully a sign of bright things to come for the in coming year. :)

Meet Tenma Tsukamoto. She is my Mom's New year's gift to me. I don't know why I have a new year's gift but still I am glad to have something to open. At first I had no idea who she was. I asked a friend if he know's what character she is. The only thing I knew she was related to School Rumble...thats the only thing that I could understand on the box. My friend then gave me a link about her. My friend was green with envy since he knew the character.
and my five year old colored pens
I have no real formal plans for my sketchbook...unlike the project 25. I just want to draw whatever comes to mind. I don't want to be so conscious on the outcome. Everything will be spontaneous. Let the pencil take control. s
I would also go back to film photography. My bf sponsored my film so now I got a little stash of film to start me off for the coming year!

Ever since I got back in Davao I haven't sat down and blogged something long. When I got back I was busy unpacking (actually my Mom was really the one who did most of the work), getting used to my new office, meeting old friends, bonding with my sister, last minute Christmas shopping and spending time with my boypren.
When I got back everytime i get to talk with a friend they always assume I had resigned from my work and came back in Davao. How many times I explained that I didn't resign from my work or tell them that I am not looking for work here in Davao. To everyone reading this I had my training in Cebu and now I am assigned in Davao. Hopefully I won't be any more answering questions where will I find work....
I really wanted to post my wish list. I am happy that somehow I got to tick off items from my wish list.

I got loads of things to do for the coming year. There's the doing stuff for my sister's seminar. Then there stuff for my parents bussiness (a multiply shop for my mom and flyers for father's Kangen water bussiness). Then me and my bf are planning to put up a blog. I would want to get back on my pilates and maybe find a sport? Basta I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT!
2008 was a good year for me.
I found a new love,
a new job,
I got to go to train in Cebu,
I lose and gained weight,
I meet new friends and found a couple of old ones

My birthday this year is very different from my past Birthday. I went to Dipolog to visit my Lola. My celebration was very simple. We had a kilo and half lechon (walang budget for the whole thing), pancit (long life hehehe), imbaw soup, ice cream and chifon cake. It was uneventful compared to my past birthdays but somehow I have made my Lola happy. She was very touched that I had celebrated my birthday there with her.
After a weekend with the relatives my flight back to Cebu was VERY tiring. My flight Dipolog to Cebu was cancelled! The next flight to Cebu was on Wednesday and I couldn't wait that long. So I rode Dipolog-Manila flight then Manila-Cebu. When I got to Manila a text messaged my friends.."I'm here in Manila pero airport lang."
When I went to work the next day my officemates surprised me with a birthday cake!!!

I have been following feeds of several fashion blogs. With lack of funds all I could do is ogle the latest trends at the window display at the mall. My mom was into Ukay-ukay...it's like salvation army in the states. You also say Vintage whatever hehehe...actually its just second hand clothes.
With nothing to do I tried my hand at ukay-ukay. Now I'm kinda hooked. It's not really the same as buying new clothes but if you have a keen eye and patience you could definitely fine something.
I really wanted to buy a pair of tall boots. I found lots of choices at Linea Italia at Ayala but it costs 3k plus (thats already 20% off). In Ukay ukay I already now have not only a pair but two. The latest one I got I bought it at P150...60% off. hehehehe
The coolest item I found is a Miu-miu jacket.
I was drawn to this piece. I was looking for dresses. When I took a closer look. I was amazed it was a miu-miu jacket!

Lately I have been on a very tight budget. Crisis na man gud!
Unfortunately I gave to my shopaholic impulses and gave in to my weaknesses
footwear and books.
I admit I read twilight series...I know its mababaw...Kevs. It's my break from reading haruki murakami stuff... I already bought and read the first two books but I had a hard time looking for the last two books. Last Saturday finally found softbound versions of the books.
Sunday I was just window shopping around Ayala I went inside Rustan's. Most of the time I just ignore Rustan's because I know I couldn't afford the stuff there. With nothing to do I went in and bought a pair of havianas. shit....I also found Melissa shoes. I will definitely buy a pair before going back to Davao.
....there goes my rent and laundry money....

With the rain pouring outside I decided to waste my time at a internet cafe. Earlier I went to SM to buy a gift for my sister. After buying her the gift I was really drawn toward powerbooks.
I had finally started reading my twilight books. I had bought them a month ago but I was busy reading the sandman series and the Lucifer graphic novels. Then last monday I finally opened my twilight book. Well its didn't take me long to finish it and I am now reading the second book. It's not really like Anne Rice or any other vampire novel I have read. As Bryan said its like Dawson's creek meet vampires. He is right but I do love reading books from the young adult section. I even read gossip girl. hehehehe Anyways I didn't really wanted to go to powerbooks because I know I would be tempted to buy the third book fortunately they only have the hard bound copy so its way off my budget. (To a guy named Uly take note I want the Eclipse and the breaking dawn).
I know I will be finished with the second book one of these days...eventhough I know I would be wanting to read the next books...I have two Haruki Murakami books that would definitely fill my boring evenings.
I already got an hour here. Got to go. Hopefully the rain has stopped.

I'm taking a quit break from my uniform illustrations. It's another friday and somehow I don't dread it as I used to. I am already at peace with my weekend situation. Still kinda boring but I know now how to ward off the boredom demons.
08-08-08 I hope its a lucky day. Well I think its a lucky day for my officemate. He finally got his Mac mini. Yehey Norbert! I was all ooohs and aaahs when I went with him and brian to the iCenter. How I wish I got 100K+ and buy myself a mac book pro. That's gazillion away from reality.
hmmmm i have finished already my ensymadas. I must get back to work.

The SonnetDeliberate Gentle Love Dreamer (DGLD)Romantic, hopeful, and composed. You are the Sonnet. Get it? Composed? Sonnets want Love and have high ideals about it. They're conscientious people, caring & careful. You yourself have deep convictions, and you devote a lot of thought to romance and what it should be. This will frighten away most potential mates, but that's okay, because you're very choosy with your affections anyway. You'd absolutely refuse to date someone dumber than you, for instance. Lovers who share your idealized perspective, or who are at least willing to totally throw themselves into a relationship, will be very, very happy with you. And you with them. You're already selfless and compassionate, and with the right partner, there's no doubt you can be sensual, even adventurously so. You probably have lots of female friends, and they have a special soft spot for you. Babies do, too, at the tippy-top of their baby skulls. Your exact female opposite: Genghis Khunt Random Brutal Sex Master Always avoid: The 5-Night Stand (DBSM), The False Messiah (DBLM), The Hornivore (RBSM), The Last Man on Earth (RBSD) Consider: The Loverboy (RGLM) |
